Originally constructed in 1970, 6023 yards in length, Abbey Hill is a very pleasant parkland course, laid out in loops of eight and ten holes. Enhancements by Howard Swann were completed in 1996 which significantly improved the course by providing eleven new tees, six new greens and brought into play a number of water hazards. The terrain is undulating with mature trees and some spectacular backdrops. A particular feature is the Par 3 17th, which requires a carry over water.
Today Abbey Hill is a mature, challenging test of golf, which appeals to both the novice player and to the competitive low handicap player. The greens are fast and true whilst the fairways are lush and manicured. Abbey Hill’s Main Course has truly earned its reputation as being the best course in Milton Keynes.
